At the present time, Silicon Valley QOV covers veterans in Santa Clara County, San Mateo County and parts of San Francisco County.

A Quilt of Valor® is a handcrafted heirloom quilt that may take six to twelve months to complete. Please remember that the Quilts of Valor® Foundation and the Silicon Valley QOV Group # 589 are an all-volunteer non-profit (501 (c)(3) organization. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals and quilters to make and provide us with Quilts of Valor®. Each quilt is carefully pieced, crafted and quilted by volunteers who love their country and wish to honor our military and veterans who have been "touched by war." 

If you would like to donate funds to directly facilitate your request. 

This will ensure funds remain local and support our local efforts.

​You may nominate a local veteran to receive a Quilt of Valor®. 

There are some eligibility requirements. To be eligible, recipients must 

have been "touched by war". Please also verify that your nominee

 has not previously been awarded a Quilt of Valor. 

We will also need your assistance with award arrangements.

A Quilt of Valor® is a single lifetime award. They will need your help in making this award including verifying that your nominee has not previously been awarded a Quilt of Valor. To learn more about the national Quilts of Valor Foundation®  and or to request a QOV outside our area of support please visit 

 You may capture the QR code using a smart phone and it will take you to the nomination portal of the QOVF site.

The website also contains a pull down link where you may request a 

QOV for a veteran residing in another state as well as outside 

of the counties we directly support at this present time.

A QOVF representative will contact you to arrange a presentation

 time and place. If you are not the person who will make those arrangements, please have that information ready for the QOVF volunteer who contacts you.

 and gives the rich history of the organization, current newsletter 

current events and is our membership portal. 

You may designate an online donation for use by a specific 

Quilts of Valor Group such as Silicon Valley # 589. 

Be sure  to fill out the “List special notations for your payment” 

on the payment page - otherwise your donation will 

ONLY  support the National Foundation.
